AMD athlon x2 64bit DC 5600+ 2.9ghz

Hello,
my cpu gets very high tempertures under load.
i will buy a better ventilation kit for my chasis and cpu, but before i raise the money for it i need to underclock my cpu around 2.0ghz
but i cannot find a tool for it, that i can really trust. please help me to find one. thank you.

Blow the dust off the CPU cooler and replace thermal paste if it's still the original.

Then hoover it.

i did blow the dust out. i got to find some thermal paste indeed, but for now. it gets 70-80 °C (170 180 °F). if i push i gets 108°C and shutsdown immediately.
i downloaded the AMD overdrive tool. i am not sure if i should only tune the clock speed down to 2.0 ghz
