Mobo is the weak link.

Post link to the RAM.

OK, low profile RAM is fine.

It will fit under your CPU cooler with no problem at all.
July 17, 2012 7:34:46 AM

what is the problem with GA-Z77M-D3H (rev. 1.0) .... i don't hav big budget and ASRock Z77 Extreme4 is costly mobo....
July 17, 2012 7:42:41 AM

Will you overclock?

If so, get the 212 EVO, if not stick with the stock cooler.

The problem is the board is MATX and low quality.

Since u have great CPU for overclocking, than you would benefit from a this mobo as it have 8+4 power phases and its suited for OC better than the mATX sized mobo.

That website doesn't have that many choices, so if the price is the factor,

that Gigabyte mobo will have to do : )
July 17, 2012 7:47:22 AM

That case will work just fine.
July 17, 2012 7:47:38 AM

yeah i will overclock , nd please tell me, can i overclock my cpu with this GA-Z77M-D3H (rev. 1.0) mobo ??
July 17, 2012 7:51:05 AM

It will OC with EVO cooler to 4.3GHz and maybe some more.
July 17, 2012 7:53:27 AM

Also, u should get more RAM, 8GB is good standard.

Make sure u have x64 bit windows for more than 4GB RAM : )
July 17, 2012 7:54:26 AM

He is, 2x 4gb^^

I see it now too : )

That's a better board!
July 17, 2012 8:12:44 AM

ok one last question , suggest me a cheap case which will work fine with my build
July 17, 2012 8:13:09 AM

Yep, that is a better choice : )
July 17, 2012 8:14:28 AM

Stay with that case, it is fine.
July 17, 2012 8:22:21 AM

ok thanks alot Nikorr and amuffin
there is a confusion ... my cpu supports DDR3-1066/1333 as per this link http://ark.intel.com/products/52210/Intel-Core-i5-2500K...(6M-Cache-up-to-3_70-GHz)

but this GA-Z77P-D3 mobo support for DDR3 2400(OC)/1600/1333/1066 MHz memory modules

which memory should choose so that i can overclock my pc in future?
July 17, 2012 8:28:27 AM

Well, since u are on budget, and the performance gain is small, you can keep what u have.
July 17, 2012 8:31:03 AM

RAM speed comparison - We're looking at a less than 2% difference from the fastest to the slowest.

July 17, 2012 8:32:06 AM

And u can try to overclock the RAM too.
July 17, 2012 8:35:53 AM

do i have to buy 2400 mhz memory module at the time of overclocking...? or 1333mhz will do that ?
July 17, 2012 8:37:28 AM

U don't need to go over the 1600MHz at all.

Look at the pictures, the performance difference is not that great.
July 17, 2012 8:42:31 AM

ok i hav got all answers,,, thanks a lot !!

Good luck!

Remember that Windows is Licensed to the BIOS so if you spring for the best MOBO you can to start with then you won't have to spring for a new license to upgrade the board later.

The MOBO is the foundation of your system and should be as strong as you can make it.

Don't forget an optical drive (I have done this before and didn't have a spare lying around).

If you can afford it try the Antec or Corsair liquid cooling solutions they are a lot more efficient than air and you won't be held to LP RAM.

A great rig in a crappy case is still a great rig.

is optical drive necessary....?? i thought window can be installed with pendrive
July 17, 2012 9:55:35 AM

What is this computer for anyways?

I use USB pen drive too.

My DVD/CD drive is unplugged for most of the time : )

If you get any software on shiny disks you will need one. Being an old git I like the whir of an optical drive but I still have a whistful longing for the grindy clicking of a 3.5".

Best solution

Even if I get the DVD/CD, I still download the latest version anyway.

Unless I need to burn or read my burned disc, I don't use it.
