Crossfire questions.

I have a XFX Radeon HD 6770.
I play Skyrim, Battlefield 3, ext. And hope to get GuildWars 2 when it comes out. Which is really supposed to push some systems to the max I heard.
I am getting a motherboard that will support dual x16 crossfirex. - BIOSTAR TA990FXE
So obviously the purpose of me doing this is to do crossfire...
I have 800w psu in preparation for this. - CORSAIR Gaming Series GS800 800W
Now to my question.

Could I save some money by getting a 16x8, 8x8, or 16x4. Without having that much of a difference in performance?

I already have a 6770 so should I get a second 6770? This will take me probably around 3-4 months to save the money.
I was wondering if an upgrade to 6850 is necessary in my case? It would take me probably around 4-6 months to get the second one (shorter if the price drops like everyone says it will), but I could get the first one in 2 months.

The 6770 would go to my brother who would buy it from me for like half price. So a little money wasted, buy I don't care that much cause he's my brother.

Yes, it's totally OK to buy x8/x8, but not x16/x4...

It's OK to get 6770 on crossfire, because max you can get is 6850, if you would buy a 6870, better you get 6870.

What's your total system specs, your monitor resolution & your budget?

yes the second hd 6770 will be good but an single hd 6870 will perform more better then cf x2 hd 6770.
