I built my first computer and I had a question about voltages. Why are the voltages so low?

Here is my build:

I'm using the Antec Bp550 Plus power supply. The reason I'm asking is because for a new computer I expect like <20 second boot times but it's a bit higher and during skyrim ultra settings gameplay I get these random lag spikes, which stop after like 30 seconds. I don't know if this has anything to do with the PSU, though.

EDIT: I checked the BIOS and under PC health and 12v and 3v were both in the 12 and 3 range.

More about : voltages

HWMonitor is not reading the votages correctly....your system would shutdown with those voltages. Random lag spikes are more likely to be mod driven or related to drivers than the PSU...I'd lean towards mods.

What do you mean mod driven? Like mods as in modifications to skyrim? I don't use any mods.

I did mean Skyrim mods...they can be really glitchy. If you're not using them:
1. Make sure all Windows updates are loaded.
2. Update all of your drivers.
If that doesn't work then I'd consider updating the BIOS...but I doubt the BIOS update will fix a temporary lag issue like you're seeing. I'm actually running a rig very similar to yours except I'm using a 6950 and an i3 2120; the only other major difference is that I have it installed on an SSD. I get no lag; are you gettin glag loading maps? When are you getting the lag?

It just seems really random to me. I'll just be killing some monster or walking down a road and I will get this extremely unplayable lag spike. It's kinda rare, actually. Doesn't happen a lot. But when it does, It sucks because I can't do anything in the game.

Then I doubt that it is a loading issue or that an SSD would improve the lag spikes. Do you get these lag spikes in any other games or is it just Skyrim? Have you tried checking the Event Log to see if you're getting any errors around the same time? Are you running any programs in the background? Do you have the latest video drivers and all Windows updates installed?
