hi i know a person would sell me his used Intel® Core™ i7-920 Processor 2.66 GHz for 135 dollars is it worth buying it im attending to use it for gaming

Most games heavily favor high execution speed per thread rather than multiple threads so you would be better off with an i5-3450 + h77/LGA1155 board for roughly the same total cost as a second-hand i7-920 + LGA1366 board... unless your friend's deal includes the motherboard.
