Hello;

I am thinking of putting an 80mm fan in the bottom of my pc case facing upwards to bring fresh air to components.

Would there be any harm on any of the components?, will it's magnet hurt hdd?

Something like this fan: http://www.amazon.com/Mechatronics-60x60x30mm-Power-Cor...

Regards.

I'm sure you have a good reason, but i'm just curious as to why you would use an AC fan instead of a regular case fan? Anyway, typically having a fan at the bottom blowing air up isn't proper ventilation, but honestly i don't think it's a bad idea as long as you have a good exhaust fan(s). and no it shouldn't hurt the hdd, it'll be too far away. I'd only maybe worry if you had the motor RIGHT NEXT TO the hdd motor, and even then it probably wouldn't be a problem.

Hi :)

VERY BAD IDEA ...safety wise.....you are going to running the mains cable into the PC past some sharp edges ??

Thats MAINS voltage which is either 120 or 240 volts (depending on country)...very very bad idea if anything goes wrong......

All the best Brett :)
