More about computer diablo
  1. No OC = no i5-2500k and no Z68/P67. Get an H67 MOBO.

Yeah but then you lose an x16 lane and if your future plans include SLI that means no dice.

I though these would give a better performance? So any suggestion?

You mean PCI 3.0? What can I use it for?

As this computer will be used for the next 2 or 3 years. Possibly some minor upgrade will be done.
  4. I totally forgot H67 lacks x16 lanes. PCIe 3.0 won't be fully utilized on SB. You will either need Ivy Bridge or LGA 2011.
  5. So I keep the Z68? Also it looks like the Z68 is the lowest one I can get from the local stores in Melbourne.
It has a good price/performance rate?
  6. Any other suggestion :( ?
  7. I'm building a rig for diablo 3 too, making it better than i need for future proofing. The coolmaster psu tend to be a bit hit and miss, Id suggest getting a crosair...antec...a good brand. Stick with the 2500k or 2550k (depends on prices in your country) for future proofing. I was considering the 6850 too, but getting a 7850/560ti 448 or equivilent depending on prices; again for future proofing. So change the psu and if you upgrade your gpu it would be money well spent
  8. upgraded psu :)

    [Power supply]
CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply

I should stick with the 6850, as dioblo3 properly is the only game that I am going to play.
Is this specs allow me to crossfire the 6850 later on?
  9. I am running Diablo 3 beta. Your build will work great with this game. Personally I like EVGA Nvidia cards. My PC has a GTX 460 and I run the beta at full graphics on a 28" monitor with great results. You can get that card at newegg for $125.
