I hope this is a simple question and thanks for any advice.
I ordered a:
PIB: ADA4800CSBOX
model: 48000+
Freq: 2400Mhz
L2 cache: 1MB x2
They said it has been back ordered since September and offered the:
PIB: ADA5000CSBOX
model: 5000+
Freq: 2600Mhz
L2 cache: 512KB x2
The 5000+ is $14 more, insignificant, but I think I prefer the increased L2 cache over the incremental increase in frequency. Unless there is some other reason that AMD bumped the version number from 4800 to 5000. Has there been fixes/enhancements to the CPU circuitry that over weighs the decrease in L2 cache?
Thanks
