120 hertz

I got a my BenQ gaming monitor just for this. But I noticed 1 thing, I only get 120 hertz when my res is 1280x1040. When I got any higher, it drops to 75 or 60. Is there something I am missing? I have the dual link cable in. I have a 6800 series radeon vid card. Is my card not good enough to support a higher resolution for 120 hertz?

What specific model of Benq do you have? What is the native resolution of your monitor?

BenQ XL2410T... native (recommended 1920x1080)

Are your drivers for both the monitor and GPU (video card) up to date?

Are you sure you connected your dual link DVI cable to dual link DVI output on the video card, and not the single link one? Usually cards have 1 dual link and 1 single link connector on them.

Im pretty sure.. I'll check my connectors when I get a chance, they can only go in 1 way right?

It's not a one way issue, if Sunius is right its a you have it in the wrong port issue. If you have a different DVI, plug it in that one.
