Hi

I got an opportunity to buy one of the following second hand graphics cards, but can't decide which one would be best for the money.

Asus GTX 275 PCI-E 896 MB for 68€ (~$90)

Asus GTX 295 1792MB for 108€ (~$142)

Thanks for your advices :)

At $142, you are coming awfully close to a nice HD 6850.

Do you mean a new one? Cuz I live in Finland and here the cheapest new HD 6850 costs ~$198.

For that price the GTX 295 is a good buy. It's faster than a 6850 or even a GTX 560 and Radeon 6870, but it lacks DX11. Even so for the price you can't do much better. Get the 295

I'm not interested at this point in DX11 as my only interest is to play Star Wars The Old Republic which currently using DX9. I'm looking for the "cheapest + high performance" combination.

according to benchmarks and reviews that I read, it seems to perform about 30% better. I'm just wondering whether I really need this 30% in the cost of additional 40€ as I'm trying to save as much as possible, but still get SW:TOR to run smoolthly on an i7 920 with 6GB ram.

if i were you then i would go with 295 but if you want to save your bucks then 275.you are right that 295 provides almost 40% gain over 275.it's good lead IMO for 40.
