Crossfire and unrelated paint ?

I have a comp with a 5870 1GB card its to slow to run some games now. im looking on ebay and craigs list at getting a second. craigs list has a 2GB for 150 so im thinking of picking it up but what issues will i have xfiring a 2 and a 1 GB card together? i figure ill OC the slower card to match the speed of the faster one but aside from that?



on a totally off the side note, i plan to repaint my truck and wanted to include some kind of sr2 Normandy/n7 decal along the side doors, any ideas what would look the best?

I would just upgrade to one 6950 or 6970.

i thought about build a new system but prices are still a bit high on the 6 core intels so im deciding to wait. as for replacing the card, yes upgrading is an option but its more expensive and im looking for a quick, cheap way to boost performance. i think dual 5870's are a tad faster than a single 6970 anyway and the 6970 is over double the price of what i can get a cheap 5870 for

5870 is close to the top of GPUs as in here

if you want to upgrade to a single GPU you better get the 7970 not 6950 or 6970 . about adding another one that 2 GB there will be no problem as in crossfire each card have its own Vram

Going from a 5870 to a 6950 or a 6970 would be basically a sidegrade, so, in my option I would consider it a major downgrade... spending money to have same performance?
