More about : compare builds

The first(intel) build would likely to run better... Remember, Intel games better than AMD... IF your playing BF3, get the AMD(because Cheaper) one because BF3 is one of the few games that utilize all Cores, most games uses 4 Cores where Intel does better..

Note: Intel does the same(vs AMD FX 8100) in BF3 but in other games, Intel does better

I would get the 2500k. Crushes ANY AMD cpu in games.

This is a matter of your values. Is that 100$ worth it to you to have superior performance? Can you live without a couple of dinners out and eat ramen instead? :)

#3, Ivy Bridge. April 29th. And the i5 2500k is a better gaming processor than any FX cpu.

Definitely. However, will you overclock? If not, get the i5 2400/i5 2500.

Ivy Bridge will only see gains of 10%. It's not as big as a jump as Nehalem->Sandy Bridge. I would recommend waiting though, since you'll get lower prices.

Ok, then get the i5 2500K. Also, how much do you want to OC? 4.5Ghz, 5Ghz, etc.

It's obvious... the 6100 is under 8100 so it's obvious it's not worth getting the 6100 since 8100 performs better and the 8100 getting beaten in most games by 2500k...

lol if you think the extra premium you pay for the i5 2500k is worth it go i5 2500k but if you believe it's worth squat and you need it for your own daily expensive then go amd, just that because once you start shooting fags of bf3, you won't notice much difference.

same logic with this.

3 monitor setup you can also see the border when your just starting but after you get used to it, you won't notice much,

BTW, AMD's 8 Cores CPUs isn't REALLY 8 cores, it's 4 Cores with 8 Thread which ACT like 8 Cores but tends to do better than HTT but since the 4 cores lacks of performance, they added 8 threads and increased voltage to those CPU for performance... AMD tends to use more power/electricity for performance which isn't near intel's high end CPU at all but consume lots of power compare to intel...
