I just want to say hi to all the members of tom's hardware community. This is my first post in this forum.

I have a garbled display and i just want to ask some opinions if it is really my video card that cause the garbled display.

Further tests would be needed to make sure that it is your video card, but yes, that could very well be the cause of the garbled display.

I had one card go bad on me many years ago, and it looked somewhat like that at first (before it got progressivly worse and finally kicked the bucket).

It could also be caused by overheating so check the temps of the card, make sure the fan is running and the card is as dust free as possible.

If you could try the card in a friends PC or borrow a friends card to test in your rig, that would be the easiest way to figure out if it is the card or not.

Thanks LothDK, i am considering right now the Oven method but i need more test to confirm that my vcard is the culprit.

I can't test the temp of my vcard, because windows can't detect it. The vcard fan is still working, i have no system crash whatsoever, i am still connected to the vcard port im not using the built in vcard, i can still higher my screen resolution, and i can still use softwares with no lag or slowdown. :)

To check the temperature on the card you can download and use HWMonitor.

If you chose the no installer option, you simply get a .zip file with the application in it, and it requires no installation.

or, if you're using an add-on card, you could disable the addon in bios, plug into the integral vid card and see if you get the same thing - if so - bad mon.

Thank you lothdk janiashvili wolf59,it would take me 1 month to buy a new vcard. I'll test it with another monitor.

Just finished cleaning my vcard with a dish washing liquid  , and it did not solve the problem.

Here's my current CPUID status

Yeah, nothing too alarming in that, except for the +12V that should ideally be 12 +/- 5% so we will just ignore that and take it as HWMonitor not being able to read it correctly.

The video card seems to be about normal, as I suspect you do not have the greatest of airflow in your case, looking at the temperature of your harddisk. 39 °C is nothing to worry about as it is well within the limits set by Seagate, but it is getting up there if the drive is idle.
