I have 4 ATI 5770 video cards and can't keep them cross-firing. I reloaded the drivers and two of them worked for a while but one stopped again. Any ideas?

System specs? Its hard to give advice when we don't know what parts we are dealing with.

Any error msgs or does one just randomly disappear? Disappear from where? Is it always the same one in X slot of whatever board you have?

I have had them in two different systems. One is a Phenom II 955 with Asrock board and 4 gig of RAM. The other one is an i7 12 core with 24 gig RAM and EVGA high-end board. They disappear in that I lose the processing thread. In Device Manager, the card still shows up sometimes, sometimes it doesn't. Windows 7 64 bit OS on both systems. Usually it is the primary card that lets go. I thought maybe it was the monitor at firs but I have tried 4 different types of monitors.

OH, and the i7 has a 1200 watt Thermaltake power supply and the Phenom II has an 850 watt power supply.

Stress test each card one at a time. Maybe you have some that are going bad.
