Hp Laptop Cooling

:hello: I'm thinking of buying a laptop but I have a few questions.

1. How is the cooling of a HP laptop? Is it good or bad? Does it reach it's max temperature quickly when on full load?
2. What is the average temperature when idle, and when on full load?
3. Does it have better cooling than Acer Laptops?
4. While playing games, what temperature would I be expecting?

Thanks in advance.

  1. Depends what laptop it is, if its the DV series then they will get hot, if you mean the newer laptops then they won't get that hot.
  2. That laptop is a new one, that won't reach the max temp, even when gaming.

The fan will go fast when gaming.

Depends what acer you are talking about, most newer laptops don't get that hot.

Gaming you should expect 60-70 oC, idle around 40-50 at least, just remember laptops are harder to cool than laptops.
  3. I meant desktops, not laptops ( at the end of the sentence)

HP are meant to be better than acer anyway.
  4. Well, I have a choice between two laptops. The first one is the HP one. The second one is this: http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/acer-acer-15-6-amd-a6-4400m-laptop-v3-551-7655-grey-v3-551-7655/10206026.aspx?path=6d9c2b9d1273f15bf27cd5bede595260en02 The reason why ask if it's better than Acer is because this is a laptop that I would want to, but I hear that Acer Laptops have terrible cooling. Will the HP laptop have better cooling than this laptop?
  5. The CPU is not a very hot CPU, there probably won't be much difference, i have had hardly any experience with acers and with HP laptops (have experience on HP desktops).
  6. Oh, so which one should I get? I really want the Acer, but I'm not sure about the cooling. I want a laptop with good cooling because I play games often like TF2 and L4D2 for like an hour or so, so I want the laptop with better graphics, but wouldn't get it knowing it would last less than the other one.
  7. Best answer
The HP has got a quad core, but the acer has slightly better graphics but not a big improvement, the HP has a bigger hard drive and apparently longer battery life and is a bit lighter than the acer, according to the specs, the HP is overall better for the price.
  8. Okay, thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate it, so my choice is the HP. Thanks a lot!
  9. Your welcome.
