dvd printing

I have a canon ip3000. I am trying to print onto full face printable dvds.
The printable area on the dvd goes right up to the narrow clear plastic in
the middle. But I can`t seem to print right up to this area. I am left with
a thick uprinted area surrounding the middle clear plastic.
I can`t seem to get the inner circle small enough in the ip3000 toolbox
program , so how can I get a full face print onto these dvds?
