Resolution stuck

I got a new video card installed from my local computer store and when i hooked up my computer,the screen resolution has been stuck to 1280x720. I have tried uninstalling the GPU drivers and that didn't work not sure what elso to do...

The Video card is an XFX Radeon hd 6850, if that helps any.

have you tried to change resolution by using right click properties or by using ccc

What is the default resolution of your monitor?

Yeah Right click properties didn't help. The Default resolution is 1920x1080.

Have you tried installing the latest driver and maybe installing a native monitor driver?

right click on empty spot on desktop. go to properties/settings. move slider to monitors native resolution...... 1920x1080

Yeah did both those awhile ago and its still at 1280x720

Yeah Uninstall and Re-installed if that is what you mean.

or try to restore windows to a point of time when it was working properly
otherwise, reinstallation it is.

Would it matter if the best restore point was before the Graphics card was installed.

I found this, maybe it will help. Read the reviews. It seems others have had the same problem but there is a fix.
