CPU is AMD 965 BE currently at 4.0ghz OC
Patriot g2 4gb Oc to 1600 MHz soon to be 8gb
Mobo is MSI 870 I think not sure but I do it can upgrade to xfire

before rebates your best bet for under 200.00 is either a gtx 560 or an hd 6870. they both go for about 170.00 to 220.00 pending which card model you select.

You can get a gtx 560 ti for 209.99 after 20.00 rebate and that would be a reasonable upgrade compared to the regular 560 or the 6870.

I have been watching gpu prices for a while and it would not surprise me if the gtx 560 tis fall below 200.00 without rebates in the proceeding months.

I currently have a regular gtx 560 with i52500k and play skyrim with lowest fps being 41ish with all details on max. aa at 4x. when fps do not dip to 40 the game is always at 60 due to vsync.

you will not be able to max out bf3 with the 6870 or the gtx 560 or the ti assuming 1080 resolution. If your opt for the 6870 or regular 560 the 6870 typically goes for cheaper and trades blows with the 560.

If you dont mind going over budget slightly I would opt for the 560 ti.

there are a lot of new card being released in the upcoming months and you may want to wait for the upcoming 600 series from nvidia.

However, I doubt they will be released in February, and they probably will be too much gpu for that resolution.

For that resolution I still stand by everything that was written in first post.

the 6870 or the 560 will serve you very very well and will be a substantial upgrade from what you have now.
