2x crossfire Radeon HD 6870 by Sapphire
3x 23" Dell Ultrasharp U2311H monitor
2 DVI & Displayport

I tried eyefinity (works fine) but whenever I try to play a game (Left 4 Dead 2) two monitors turn off and goes back to one monitor settings.

Thanks for your help

Have you tried changing the resolution in the games settings?

Yes, I changed to 1280 x 1024 which was the highest the game would allow

If you try to adjust the screen resolution through the desktop you should see something like this ignoring monitor number 4.

If you have not adjusted bezel compensation you will have 5760x1080 as the max allowable. You need to have eyefinity active on the desktop before the game will allow you to use the same resolution. If you only have 1280x1024 as the max allowable then that is probably what the desktop was set to before the game loaded. If not then, there is something seriously wrong with the game and you should try to uninstall and reinstall it.
