$ 2000 Cdn Gaming & Editing Rig Advice

Hi! This is my first time making a PC made specifically for Gaming and Video/Photo Editing. Since my 7 year old PC is reaching it's limits, 'til it kicks the can :( 


Approximate Purchase Date: By the end of April - Early May

Budget Range: ($1600 - $2000) Before / After Rebates

System Usage from Most to Least Important: (Gaming, Video & Photo Editing, Music Editing, watching movies, surfing the net)

Parts Not Required: (keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS, HDD, SSD, CD/DVD Drive)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: (,,

Country: (Canada, Ontario)

Parts Preferences: I would like to stick to Intel CPU, Asus Mobo, and Corsair.

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe - Most likely once I get the money.

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080


CPU: Intel Ivy Bridge 3770K /

CPU Cooling: Liquid cooled from (Parts not required CPU Block, Rad., Pump.)
- Reservoir For Laing DDC
- New Tubing
- Comp. Fittings

Additional Comments: This build will be for the upcoming Intel Ivy Bridge and Liquid Cooled. Willing to downgrade the CPU. I'm open to any suggestion and advice. Prices may vary~

Thanks Why_Me ^^ I don't think I've heard about DirectCanada or BestDirect, I'll be checking their site more often if anything. Unfortunately, both are in BC and I like to physically go get the parts to save me the S&H (though those 2 are free lol) and not having to anxiously wait for it ahaha :D  But I will keep these two sites bookmarked if anything :)
