PCI-E 3.0 x16 vs x8

I would like to use both my PCI ports for some HSDL connection to two OCZ IBIS SSDs. This does not fit with the graphics card on the motherboard. Moving the graphics card from the x16 port to the lower x8 port will do the trick. What will be the drawbacks by doing this?

Depends on your graphics card, processor and motherboard. Are you sure it's PCI-E 3.0? Because the only CPUs that support it is Sandy Bridge-E series.

So no, you won't feel any bottleneck. PCIe 3.0 x8 is same as PCIe 2.0 x16.

current cards cannot utilize complete bandwidth of v2.0 x16 or v3.0 x8, and thus you will see no performance now and in future too
