APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Sometime this summer maybe more soon, maybe later Budget: Total $550 MAX. (am at around $410 with hard drive and media disk)
I will be using this mainly for everyday computing and moderate games like minecraft, WoW and might buy a higher graphic demanding game like skyrim or bf3.

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY:Going to buy A 500w Psu and dont currently have a gpu. (building a new computer)

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS:
I'm going to have these parts:

PARTS PREFERENCES: Does not matter, have more knowledge on the AMD HD series though.

OVERCLOCKING: O/C: If its worth it, Sli/Crossfire: probably not

Or push up a bit higher and get this 6850:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... (Suggested before)

Canada computers should have the 6770, and also should have the 6850, you must I think to push higher to get a 6850 though, what you can get is actually an HD 6790, which is between these two cards, If you can find it in your budget, I suggest it. But if no, stay with the 6770.

Why I suggested AMD HD Radeon is because first of all, you said you know more about it, so I think you will buy it than then the nvidia competing solutions (the 550 ti or 460) but I think you are right with the HD Radeon, because under $150 budget AMD done more better job.

Also for you, my advice is to stay away from that PSU, I suggest getting something nice like: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... so that you are away from damaging parts, and you will replace it yourself, wasting your money. So if you would like, take my advice :) .

Sorry I dont know what happened to this post but anyways, Would you suggest a 6850,6770 or a 550 ti? thats really all i'm left with. and i have updated my list to this:

Yes, AMD 6850 will be a better choice rather than the nVidia one!

The 5770 turns out to the same cost after shipping but i do get dirt 3 for free but that's not really important.

Yeah but if you bought the ModX 500w too = free shipping entire order!
Trust me it's a good unit.

I know you are excited about building a new pc, but between now and summer...a LOT of new parts, GPU/CPUs will be coming out. Prices are going to be dropping most likely. When you think you are going to buy parts in a week or two, you probably will need to do reselect parts all over again.

Well there is always a chance to wait, even after 2012, where HD 8xxx or nvidia Maxwell is coming. But I guess price lowering takes time, maybe it takes until Mid year to see a real price drop (but that is just my opinion). If you can't wait for long, it's OK to get 6850 now... It will stay a bit long probably until the HD 8xxx series.
