Hi
I'm quite new in CPU upgrading.
I want to upgrad my HP 625 CPU to the maximum it can take.
Can you tell me what is the best one I can fit and is AMD Phenom II X940 gonna work at all?
Thanks a lot

Use the model number of your hp to locate the system info including upgrades. They should be listed on their website.

That's a notebook. CPU upgrading in notebooks is difficult and generally not advised or done.

I wouldn't do it; your heatsink may be custom made for your board; unless you find a better heatsink, changing to the x940 may result in too much heat. Notebooks are limited as to what heatsinks they can use; you'll never find a retail box notebook cpu with heatsink. There's no standard the cpu manufacturer's can use with the fan port. IF you want comfirmation, try to find an hp forum on their website.
