Gainward GeForce GTX 570 Phantom: Fan does not reduce speed anymore

Hey there!

The fan of my new Gainward GeForce GTX 570 Phantom suddenly decided to not throttle down anymore. I would guess its running at an average 65%. I tried the Gainward Tool "EXPERTool" to throttle the Fan... I can throttle it up to 100% and it works fine. If I choose dynamic the fan speed IN THE TOOL is shown decreasing 1% per second but at some point the fan of the graphic card does not reduce the speed anymore. Minimum should be 30%. What to do?

Temp is 30°C.
- Gainward GeForce GTX 570 Phantom
- Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3, Z68

Any ideas?

Just unplugged the GPU from the mobo and plugged it back in: fan is reducing speed now.

That's how alot of us learn this stuff!
Glad you're working this and the other post out on your own.
My first build, i had all kinds of issues that eventually worked themselves out.

Talked to the support, they told me to send the GPU in.
