Hello forum, I recently asked whether this system would work however my post was cut off so I shall try again. I am looking at building a gaming PC (I know this wont run BF3 that well or other games) that can do gaming decently and I can upgrade when I have the money. I am 90% sure this system works however I would like confirmation from someone with better tech knowledge.

Case - Cooler Master CM Storm Enforcer with Cooler Master 650w GX PSU
Motherboard - Asus Sabertooth P67
Processor - i3 2120
RAM - Corsair 8GB DDR3 1600mhz CL9 vengeance Memory Two Module Kit
GPU - MSI nVidia GTX 560Ti DDR5 twin frozr ii
PSU - (with case although say if not powerful enough)
HDD - Western Digital Caviar Green 500gb WD5000AADS SATA with 32mb cache
Optical Drive - Sony AD-7261S-0B 24x Internal DVDWRAM SATA black Lightscribe
Cooling Fan - Arctic cooling Freezer 7 Pro rev2

I also wanted to know for the future would I be able to get another one of those graphics cards and SLI? Would I be able to upgrade to an i5 2500k or i7 2600k? Would I be able to install a secondary SSD in the future for the OS? Is the current PSU good enough and what kind of PSU I will need in the future when I upgrade? Thanks so much in advance. Appreciate all help.

yes to all.

the system looks good. all is compatible, and well chosen.

my main gripe, ditch the green HDD. they are HORRIBLE as primary drives. incredibly slow. great as secondary media drives, but do not install windows on one.

other than that, get a better cpu cooler. a cm hyper 212 plus/evo would be cheap but effective.

later on you can drop in a 2500k (or IB proc) and a second 560ti. you'll be golden.

I agree with welshmousepk. Get a better HDD and go with the 212. Given a choice the PSU probably wouldn't be my first choice but if it comes with the case it'll be ok. I would have recommended this one:

because of the multiple rails. Good luck with your build.

Thanks. Could you recommend a better HDD? Thanks again. Best answer

Yes green hdds are painstakingly slow.

Your build is not balanced.

Imwhat is your budget.

My recommendation.

Intel i3 2120
asrock z68 extreme3 gen3
Corsair vengence 2x4 gb 1600mhz low profile ram
Sapphire radeon hd 7850 if you can then 7870
Pc power and cooling silencer mkii 750w 80+ silver
wd carvier blue 500gb
cm haf 912 or corsair carbide 300r

if you are not gonna plan to crossfire then

change that motherboard to asrock z68 pro3 gen3

and psu to seasonic 620w 80+ bronze.
