Hi all,

I've just installed a Geforce GTX 560i replacing an old GC that only had one PCI 6 Pin connection.

The GTX has two PCI 6 Pin Connections.

I'm not really sure what to do as the GTX doesn't come with PCI 6 Pin cables and my PSU doesn't have them hard wired nor can you buy them anywhere.

My PSU is a Cosair HX520w, I've previously had the BSOD and I think it may have been my power cabling.

Do you have to use the PCI power ports for the GC?

Any help would be so appreciated. Thanks in advance. B

your psu doesn't have a second 6 pin power connector? I find that odd for a corsair.

molex to 6 pin adapters should be very easy to find though. most graphics cards bundle them for free. if yours didn't, you can pick one up from any pc parts store.

Hi Welshmouse,

The PSU does have two 6 Pin power connectors but it's modular, if you have a look at the picture on the link below it has two.

So I'm thinking that somehow I need a 6 pin to 6 pin. Thanks for your help.

Yes it is, are you saying that you don't have even 1 pcie cable ?

Rev.1 came with two 6 to 6
Rev.2 came with two 6 to 6+2
Yes, you could use a single Molex strand and a 2x Molex to 6 pin pcie adapter.
