Personal Build

Hey guys, my home computer sucks and I have such an old video card I can't support Portal, so I decided to build my own gaming computer. My budget is between $200 and $400 and I need a shove in the right direction, In the end, I want my computer to be held together by Duct Tape :pt1cable:, so please, any advice would be extremely appreciated.

  1. Fill out the new build form in the new build section. Obviously you can't build an entire computer for $200 so we need to know the answers to the questions on the form.

Must have own operating system, keyboard/mouse and monitor. You can always add a video card later when funds become available. Best I could do

Your best bet would be to watch newegg for a barebones kit. look for like a phenom II 955 kit or i3- 2nd gen. Or even one of AMDs APUs. For example:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883220153&cm_sp=DailyDeal-_-83-220-153-_-Product

They usually have a good deal on shell shocker once a week. It will require the least amount of effort and get you a pretty solid build.
