Will they work together? Yes.....BUT, this monitor only accepts a standard VGA connection. To use this monitor, you would need an adapter to connect to the video card DVI port to the VGA cable (adapter should be in the box).

You would be better off with a display that can support a digital connection (DVI, HDMI, or Displayport).

Ok. Is there a difference in the display between dvi, hdmi, or display port and vga? Also the monitor says D-sub. What is that? Sorry to ask so many questions.

D-sub means a standard VGA connection (analog). It is the most basic of video connections and is not suitable for higher resolutions and where video performance at a higher level is required. For basic computing, it is fine, but often picture quality, clarity, color saturation, etc suffer because of the limitations at higher resolutions.

The other digital interfaces can handle a much higher level of bandwidth between the video card and monitor and improves upon all measures of performance over the standard VGA connection.

Really trying to keep this simple. Does this help?
