Hello everyone. I was thinking of buying a Q8300 CPU because i want to also buy a new GPU ( a 7770 ) and.. i know this is a stupid question to ask but yeah.. should i keep the E2200 or should i buy the Q8300 .. will it bottleneck the 7770 if i keep it or wouldn't work at all? Will it affect the gaming experience somehow.. ? Thanks ;d

No question is stupid if its not about something stupid like how much gold is in a CPU.

You need to make sure your motherboard supports the CPU, that upgrade would be good.

What motherboard/computer have you got?

mmm It will definetely bottleneck that gpu so (if you can) I'd upgrade to that q8300 or at least the fastest in the core 2 duo line since much games don't utilize the extra 2 cores as much, but of course a modern day core i3 (such as the 2120) will easily beat those in terms of gaming, but thats if you have $50-$70 more to get a board which will leave you space to upgrade to a core i5 later on
