What are you going to do with your computer?
If you don't do something that can make use of the 8 threads in the i7, you'll waste extra money on it.
If you live near a Micro Center, they have a bundle deal where you can pick up a processor and motherboard for $50 off. Their processors cost $50 less than Newegg anyway so you'll save $100.
I just picked up an i5-3570K and an Asus P8Z77 V-Pro for $350 (plus tax).
