and not the 400R
http://www.tweaktown.com/reviews/4408/corsair_carbide_s...

So now it comes down to the fact which I couldn't bring to you in the Carbide 400R review, and that is which of the two Carbide chassis' are the one to buy. ...... The 500R is well worth every extra penny over the 400R.

That's bad advice, since the main reason they recommend the 500r over the 400r is the US shipment costs. OP appears to be buying in Germany, so shipping costs (and prices in general) are obviously going to be completely different.

@nikor At that price i was thinking about XFX Core Edition Pro 550W for 54 Euro as it is a better psu than CX. so if i buy that this leaves space for around 100 euro for case.

Mostly bettwen CM 690 II Basic 64E /Advance 84E and the Carbide 500R for around 94E .

If anyother case plz tell me.

Why to spend 78 Euro for a 550 W psu ? I dont need it to be modular.. XFX 750 is 80 so that is no sense.

So to end this i have 193 Euro for Mobo/Cpu/Ram

need case and psu and lets say Psu is the XFX at 55 Euro .

So money for case is around 90 Euro. Mostly bettwen CM 690 II Basic 64E /Advance 84E and the Carbide 500R for around 94E .

From your link the 500r seems to be 93€ plus shipping. Honestly, I'd get the 400r and use the money left over for the other components.

550W is enough with quality PSU for your GPU.

A good quality 500W is enough for a single HD 6870; it requires a 500W PSU with at least 32A on the 12V rails and two 75W 6-pin PCIe power connectors. That XFX core is a great little PSU with plenty of reserve power for OC of the CPU/GPU and hard to beat at that price point.

The design is much nicer on the 500R.

And the cable management is just great. No mess.

And when u have more HDD's,

for me its a must to have the HDD's facing this way. Its much easier to plug and unplug them and keep the cables out of the way.
