Hi all,

I am looking at the AMD FX8120, but I am confused about the temperatures the CPU will kick out. I am not really interested in overclocking at this stage. Would the standard CPU fan be sufficient or would I still need to buy an after market CPU fan? If so which CPU fans are recommended.

It is strange how AMD can design these CPU's and provide fan's which don't provide sufficient cooling, this seems like a basic design requirement. I look forward to the discussions on this.

The standard cooler should work fine if you don't plan on doing anything too extreme. I currently have a 8120 with a Thermaltake Frio cooler and it runs fine. I can't say I've every really used the stock cooler but currently with the thermaltake my cpu temp is 42c
