Hi,

My question is are there any tests or scans or anything you can run to tell if your computer is living up to your hardware's capabilities and not being held back at a certain ceiling? I build my first full computer about a year ago and i put in about $2200 into it. But I have always had this fear that I spent all this money for performance hardware but yet since i built it myself that maybe some settings somewhere are limiting its performance.

The reason this has entered into my mind recently is because for the last 6 months, every time I am playing a game when I tab out i keep getting these warning messages saying my PC is low on resources. I don't understand how this could be with all of the hardware I have in this. I run 3 different system cleaners once a week, virus and malware scans once a week and defrag my registry and Hard drive once a month.

So I guess what I am trying to get to is how to I know for sure that all this hardware is living up to is full potential?

BTW I DO NOT overclock

Please list your power supply make, model number, and specs, especially the 12v rail rating.

Its a Velocity Micro Active PFC EP-1200XP, 1200W and not exactly sure how to find the 12V rail rating, but in the Bios the +12V was at 12.18V.

The Power supply and the case were there only things i didn't replace when I rebuilt my PC. So this is probably 4+ years old.
