Adding video card to EL1852G-52W emachine

I was going to make this my media center PC by adding a a video card with HDMI but the EVGA GeForce card has DVI, VGA and HDMI outputs and the card is physically too wide to fit in the slot that is in the small form factor case. The VGA port is a plug in. can I remove it and cut the metal to a length that will fit or is the a card tha will fit this case?

I have this same set up and bought the Sapphire Radeon HD 5570 graphics card for it and it did not fit and so I had to do some cutting on the box and the card to get it to work and finially did, of course I can't put the black panal back on with out doing some cutting on it also, Not sure if this helps you but thought I'd throw it out there..
