How identify and remap keys on mce remote to open other programs

Hello, i have two questions

i just recieved a mce remote in the mail its a generic one not sure the model heres a link

secound question the remote works very well
i need to make the green start button open totalmedia instead of wmc becsaue with totalmedia i get more channels then i do with other tv tuner software wmc is horrible when it comes to signal strenght or id use it

also the remote dosent turn up or down the system volume or the totalmedia volume alot of the buttons dont work in totalmedia is there a way to map the remote keys


my tv tuner is the ati hd750 usb model my os is windows 7 ultimate

i baught this remote because i didnt like the small flat one that cam e with my tuner plus i wanted a remote to controle the mouse

the remote that came with my tuner works perfectly in totalmedia 3.5
but the only thing that i can see that works on the mce remote in total media is the mouse and the arrow keys
