Alright so currently I'm running two GTX 560 TI's.

Unfortunately the low vram is what's keeping me back (I think anyway.)

So I figured I'd upgrade to a new GPU...

Though now I'm torn (First off let me state I've never owned a Radeon card, and have always been an Nvidia user.)

Do I go with the,

Radeon HD 7970 @ around $580
or
GTX 580 3GB @ around $550

I will probably be upgrading it sometime later to SLI or Crossfire down the road... But I'm looking for the best bang for my buck atm. If I'd be better off waiting for the next set of Nvidia cards to release, I'd be willing to do that as well.

Any info would be appreciated. I just want my games to run smooth on the highest settings @_@

Solution
On a single monitor the Vram is not the issue but will be when you go 3 with extended resolution. I would go with the HD7970 based on the plans of adding monitors!

Specs:

i7-2700k @4.5
MSI P67A-GD65
16GB Corsair Vengeance @1600
750w PSU

Monitor is a 23 inch 1080p... I will eventually want to go 3 monitor... But for now one is all (Probably will upgrade to 3 monitors whenever I upgrade my future card to SLI or Crossfire.)
