Power Failure Short in Power Brick, Potential Damage?

I have this old power brick thing (the thing that has multiple outlets that you can use while it's plugged into the wall) and it's acting up. Whenever I move it a certain way it turns off, make my computer and my screen turn off with it. Is this potential damage to anything? Or is the power simply not going to affect my computer. I do not have a surge protector.

Get rid of it and go buy a new one. It has a lose connection that could cause a short and start a fire.
