I have a new Help program, which requires an Intel Pentium 4 or better processor. My current laptop has the AMD Turion 64 x 2 Dual Core TL-56. System.

Is the AMD comparable or do I need to get a new computer? My current laptop seems to meets the other reqs.

the turion is better than the P4 so you will be alright, but it still is old CPU but at least a dual core running about 2.4GHz, make sure you check other specs.

Thanks for the answer and also the link!

I've been trying to find something that makes a real comparison, but sometimes it takes forever to figure out what will bring up the right info.

I know the processor and components are old, but they seem to be w/in the reqs. Trying to figure out whether it makes sense to put out more money for hardware and associated software. This could end up being an expensive hobby rather than a money maker, which it should be.
