I'm thinking of buying the Intel Pentium G620 for a budget build and on the Intel website it can only use up to 1066mhz ram. Can i use 1600mhz ram? Or will it default to 1066?

You can use 1066,1333,1600,1800,2000,2100 .......

They will all default down to 1066 on standard settings, usign faster ram allows you to tweak memory settings to increase speed and bandwidth.

I think most people go with one speed faster than required to get a little extra out of the memory and the differnec in ££ is tiny.
