I am looking for some assistance with my Alienware m9700i.

I have a large vertical bar running down the left side of my screen.

I originally suspected the video card was the cause of my screen issue but after replacing it (and continuing to have this issue) I believe there is some other cause of the problem.

Here are some images of the issue: (and one of my card) http://imgur.com/a/fp1HT

Troubleshooting I have done:

- Replaced card (fail!)
- Plug in external display (no lines (yes I should have tried this before swapping the GPU))
- I messed with the ribbon cable where it connects to the motherboard and that didn't seem to do anything. I have not removed the screen from the bezel yet (some people mentioned that online as a possible issue but it didn't seem consistent with my specific issue)

Follow up question: I now have TWO of these dang M9750 nVidia 512MB 7950 GTX cards. While doing some research on the cards I noticed you can run these in SLI. My question is since both my cards are marked as (D) daughter cards does that limit my ability to sli?

Any input would be awesome!
