Hello

After a few problems iv had to rebuild my pc.. Specs;

Amd 955 x4 3.2
8gb ddr3
SSD
650w power supply

Anyway

I have a 9800gt (512) and im just wondering if i should update to either:

Ati 5770
Ati 5850
Gtx 560

Im trying to keep the budget down to £100 (50 over is max!)

Casual gamer, half life (i still use sdk abit), battlefeild 3, skyrim, fallout 3
Also non-3d blu ray compatable... I havent looked into a blu ray drive im guessing almost all are bd ready :)
Direct 11 prefered, this is just so i dont have to buy a new card any time soon.
My mobo can take crossfire and sli, but i dont realy want to have two or three cards in my pc,,

Really, a card for a casual gamer. Who is on a budget. Any other cards you can think of. Please say. Or just say "keep with 9800"

the the 560 is the most powerful card in there but the 5850 isn't far behind. If you don't list the prices, its hard to say whats worth the money.

generally the 6850 can almost be had for 100 pounds for some of the best price and performance you can get.

Sorry. Prices and manifacturers (poor spelling, sorry)

Gtx 560 £130 - £150 (asus)

5850 £110 (his)

5770 £130 (powercolor)

Prices are from ebay, but i would buy from amazon if the seller rating is low)

well the 5850 would be the best choice as it is a lot faster than the 5770 and very close to the 560.

for £110 its really a good deal.

thank you for the quick reply, and the info,

It gets annoying trying to scan read the specs and working out the differences,

9800gt is a brilliant card. Pitty after 2 years its slowly giving up. Gotta clean the fans :/
