Hello. I was playing today with my computer, and suddenly my power went off and I saw some sort of lighting, and when I tried to turn on the power on the power control box, it went down again immediately. Something was burnt, but I don't know what. Could you tell me what it could be burnt and causes this problem? I am thinking that it must be my motherboard or psu... Do you think it could be something else? Thanks in advance
It could be anything, firstly open the PC and look for burned out chips or blown caps.
If you have got spare power supply then swap them and see if the computer works.
What are your specs including power supply.

Hmmm i can't really see something burned. If I put my nose near the psu fan it smells burnt.. I don't know my psu model by its a cheap one, and it was kinda noisy some times. My CPU is amd phenom II X6 1055T, gpu ati 6850. I hope these help... But I think it's my psu... Too bad I don't have A spare one...
Most likely your PSU, you will need to get a new one, you could see if the PSU is powering up by disconnecting every power wire even the massive one on the mobo, get a paper clip, look at this pic- http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.smps.us/... - Here is a pin out of the massive connector, on the right side (make sure your connector is the same orientation), stick one end of the paperclip on the 3rd pin down from the top and put the other end on the next pin if that makes sense.
