Hello, I just built a new computer for me. Im looking for a new video card to replace my now old hd 5770. Im opened to SLI or Crossfire, but I would stick to buying 1 card for now or 2 cheaper cards that would give me that extra juice. I dont really know where to start looking for this so i figured, any help would be appreciated.

PC specs:

Ati hd 5770 saphire
P8z68-v gen 3 Asus MoBo
2x(4GB) 1600 kingston RAM
750W Cooler Master power supply
i7 2600k
OCZ agility 3 120GB SSD

Thank you !

buying 2x cheaper card is not a good idea because if u come to an hd 5770 x2 it will give less performance then hd 6870 and a single hd 7950 will give twice performance of hd 6870 so the hd 7950 will give 4x better performance then 2x cheaper cards.

and one more thing that sapphire hd 7950 consumes less power and low temperature.

5770 x2 is actually close in performance to a single GTX 580 not a 6870.

6870 x2 is a good bit more powerful than a GTX 580.

I think the 6770 got better Crossfire scaling as a perk over 5770 otherwise they are the same cards.

they are not same i know that hd 6770 is rebadged of hd 5770 but hd 6770 gives more better performance then hd 5770.:)

its one of the high end gpu in hd 6770 series and it will give much better performance then hd 5770 so no need to compare that card to hd 5770

6770 is the exact same GPU as 5770 there is no difference between the 2 however drivers gave better CF scaling when the 6770 hit the market.
