5420 vs 3450

I'm getting ready to purchase some servers from my hosting company and am trying to decide between two servers that they have on special. I'm curious as to which processor selection would be the best solution for a moderately busy MySQL database.

Option 1: A single Intel Xeon Processor X3450
4 cores, 8 threads (hyperthreaded)
This processor received a score of 5,245 on cpubenchmark.net

Option 2: Dual Intel Xeon Processor E5420
Each processor has 4 cores, 4 threads (not hyperthreaded)
This processor received a score of 3,762 on cpubenchmark.net. However, there are 2 of these processors in this server option.

What are your thoughts on option 1 vs option 2?

I would go with option 2 since you have 8 actual cores and not just 4 cores and a total of 8 threads by way of hyperthreading.
