Hi guys,
I have just completed my first pc build a few days ago, however i have just noticed one of the pins on the stock cpu cooler (going on the i5 3570k) has not come out the far side of the motherboard (Asrock z77 extreme4). Is it fine to just try and get it through? Or will the thermal paste need to be removed and reapplied? I havent installed a OS yet, but in the bios the cpu temp was sitting at 41, while the room temp and motherboard were in the 20's. Just some more info, its in a NZXT phantom 410 case.

Best solution

a c 137 V Motherboard

As long as you don't actually remove the HSF to do it (like take it completely off), the thermal paste should still be fine. Just push the pin into place and it'll be good.

Thanks a lot for the quick answer, hopefully it isnt too hard to get in, cause it felt like it had gone in normally.

You're welcome, and yeah, those stock Intel coolers are a pain to get right.
