ABC news featured some preview of what the new Xbox game machine will be.
It sounds like it will be less like a console and more dependent on users
having Xbox live accounts. Since I don't play online, looks like I will
have to get my gaming fix some other way in the future.

Glen:

I am sure the XBOX 360 will not be built just around LIVE, though it
will be an integral part. If you are like me and play offline on your
own time without LIVE, I am sure the next XBOX will have games for us
too, such is the case right now. There may be more games in the future
that are just intended for LIVE, but we you can skip over those.

What I would like to see is the ability to sign up for free LIVE
accounts that give you the option to download OS upgrades to the XBOX
and upgrades for games (patches). It is unacceptable to distribute
patches to people that have LIVE accounts but not to those who don't. I
am not interested in playing online and hence, I will not sign up for
LIVE just to receive the occasional software updates.

I watched a show the other day, it was about meteors hitting the earth,
as I don't want to die in a natural disaster, I'll kill myself now.

I have a lucky rabbit's foot that protects me from meteors. It's been 100%
effective, so far.

Not for the rabbit, however...

Depends on how you look at it: The rabbit wasn't hit by a meteor, so he had
that going for him.
