Hello, I don't know what I should choose?

ASUS ENGTX560 Ti DCII TOP/2DI/1GD5 (1 GB)

Or

XFX Radeon HD 6970 (2 GB)

Or should i consider something third?

Best regards, Michael

XFX Radeon HD 6970 (2 GB), is more powerfull, and still have more memory, if the price is the same, i would go for it, only if you are planning to use physx/3dVision you should go for 560ti DCII.

Im in Denmark, and I think of using some danish sites, which is probably way more expensive than the US. This is my setup so far:

ASUS ENGTX560 Ti DCII TOP/2DI/1GD5 (1 GB) = 293,32 Dollars.
GPU: http://www.edbpriser.dk/Product/Details.aspx?pid=4818293

Alternative:
XFX Radeon HD 6970 (2 GB) = 412,27 Dollars.

ASUS P8Z68-V LX = 127 Dollars
Motherboard: http://www.edbpriser.dk/Product/Details.aspx?pid=5339456

Core i5 I5-2500K 6 MB (Intel Boxed) = 258 Dollars
CPU: http://www.edbpriser.dk/Product/Details.aspx?pid=4606781

Corsair Enthusiast Series TX650 V2 = 106,87 Dollars
PSU: http://www.edbpriser.dk/Product/Details.aspx?pid=4700453

Corsair Force Series GT 120 GB = 214,94 Dollars
HD: http://www.edbpriser.dk/Product/Details.aspx?pid=5137429

Kingston HyperX Genesis 2 x 4 GB = 60 Dollars
Memory: http://www.edbpriser.dk/Product/Details.aspx?pid=4669103

Though, I do consider a bigger GPU, since I want to play some pretty harsh games (Battlefield 3 for instance) and on my Apple Cinema Display 24' http://store.apple.com/us/product/FB382LL/A.

I've tried to calculate the prices with current currency. I will be using my old beloved Chieftech tower, which is quite big. :)

At those prices the GTX560ti seems like the better buy.Although you will need another for both to max out BF3.But a single GTX560ti and that processor should allow you to play on high settings.

Yes,to me it does.In the US you can get a 6970 for roughly $320.And GTX560ti for roughly $250.I just think your way overpaying if you go with the 6970.I mean for $50 more you could get a 7950 which is just as fast as a GTX580 and even faster if O.C.'d.

Going with a GTX560ti seems that you get more bang for your buck.

I'm a Nvidia fan, but sincerely? It would be nice to go for the stronger card if you have the money.
It would be awesome to have more power to run BF3.

If you need a Nvidia alternative look for this one: PNY GeForce GTX 570 (1.25 GB) - 2.295 kr.

About the extra price:
In US you would pay about 28% more to go from GTX 560Ti to a HD6970/GTX 570
In Denmark you would pay 40% more...

Well... more power is nice.. but me? I wouldn't pay this extra premium, it's a bit harsh on cash.

Ahh, haven't heard of that card. But then again, I've been of the market for quite some time, since I bought a Macbook Pro some years ago. Now I am tired of the lack of power, and need some good old Windows PC hardware power. I couldn't help myself comparing the two cards:

PNY GeForce GTX 570 (1.25 GB)
XFX Radeon HD 6970 (2 GB)

Since they are priced around the same, and I have a hard time estimating what makes them so different?

EDIT: Actually, can't remember. I'm traveling at the moment so cannot check it. But i bought it in 2010 i think, so you are probably right.

EDIT 2: And yes, it depends without a doubt on how much you are willing to spend. But to me, 50-100 bucks more or less is no issue. If that extra boost the pleasure of gaming with a 100% due to the abcent of lack, they are well spend :)

XFX Radeon HD 6970 (2 GB) = 412,27 Dollars in Denmark?

B*tch please...

Here in Brazil we pay about 750 dollars in the same card: MSI HD6970

Knowing that I bought ALL my hardware in Brazil, look at my signature and think how much money I spent (or got robbed) in hardware..
Sometimes I just think it's better to laugh than cry... lol

In terms of the 6000 series from AMD, unless you are getting a 2gb 6950 and unlocking shaders and overclocking it for about $80 less, the 6000 series was a waste. The 6990 is a beast, but its expensive and hard to find. Im an AMD guy, I have a new 7970, its amazing, but the 6000 series was more of a budget line of GPUs. Id go with a 570 over a 6970. And id go with a 7970 or 7950 over either a 570 or 580. Just an opinion :)

Well, that does make sense. I've heard somewhere that nVidia dominates mid-end GPU and Radeon dominates the lower and higher ends.

EDIT: Okay, it still dosn't make any sense to me. The way I see it, the Radeon is newer, have more memory and a higher clock. How come that is inferior?
