Hello,
No sound windows xp. Went to control panel audio devices, sound playback, it says no playback drvices..... Anything I can do to fix this?

Is there an audio driver installed/up to date? It should be Realtek or Soundmax... it depends on you motherboard. Find the latest drivers on the manufacture's website, install and reboot.

Audio drivers are installed and up to date. recently purchased Driver Max to do this. I go to control panel audio/audio/sound playback devices, says no playback devices. Next sound recording devices, says same thing. Also with Midi music. Any suggestions? Also I found a pair of external speakers from old computer and plugged them in. Still no sound. Thanks for responding!
