Can running games at resolutions lower than ''recommended-HD resolutions (1920 x 1080)'', cause damage to monitor? Does it have any influence at all for using monitor? In ajusting monitor resolutions it says that resolution 1920 x 1080 is recommended. Also, it is the highest that monitor can show. I have Philips 236V3LSB/00, LED 23'' monitor. In product manual it says (not literally): for best effect use 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz.

NO, Just higher if it doesn't support the resolution it just wont work.

No, it wont damage it, but lower resolutions wont look as good as higher resolutions but on lower settings

So if you need to configure a game to get better performance, turn down thing like AA, and other details before touching resolution :)

you can turn your refresh rate to 75Hz if it supports it though.
