Athlon II X2 250 for cad?

Is an Athlon II X2 250 good enough for cad?
Only 2d and little size files.

  1. An athlon x2 should be fine for cad.
  2. Yeah it'll manage that easily. Just bear in mind if you want to do anymore overclocking or buying an upgrade would be in order. Then again my school was running CAD programs on Pentium D's with the integrated graphics and your CPU is light years ahead of that.
  3. Yes i know, I'm just using a old single core athlon 64 @2.4 Ghz with autocad 2011 foobar and irfanview open at the same time; that sistem in slow when i refresh or regen.

    I'm asking because i need and upgrade and don't want to spend too much.
    The new ring has to last about two years.
